Worldwide Marcom 3D/VM Managing Design Director (Sep 2016 - Nov 2018)
With over a decade and a half of experience at Nike, along with a brief but impactful stint at Apple in 2002 as part of the team behind the Soho Flagship store launch, my journey came full circle when I rejoined Apple to take the helm of the Global Marcom 3D/VM team.
As Managing Director of this exceptional group, I had the privilege of leading a team of dedicated producers responsible for the intricate planning, budgeting, and meticulous execution of seasonal retail product launches.
Collaboration was at the core of our work, as my team closely collaborated with Marcom, ID, Product Marketing, and Retail leadership to craft immersive product experiences that transcended Apple Retail and Global Channel stores.
One of our significant achievements was our involvement in the Apple Park Visitor Center project. The 3D/VM team, composed of talented producers, designers, and production experts, worked in close partnership with our Retail counterparts.
Together, we embarked on a journey to elevate product storytelling, delving deep into product marketing and ID insights to push the boundaries of brand experiences even further.
As a collaborative leader, I had the opportunity to contribute to developing Apple’s ‘next generation’ channel retail concept. I was successful in convincing leadership that rather than going to outside agencies, the internal 3D/VM team of experts could develop the future concept.
In this capacity, I was honored to secure the iconic Jony Ive as our team's mentor.
Over a three-month workback schedule, we dedicated ourselves to nurturing the ‘next-generation’ concept, gaining approval from the highest echelons of Apple leadership, and ultimately receiving an enthusiastic sign-off from Tim Cook.
